Well, the last of my scheduled run though my 30 army is this guy. House Hodagi Knight Errant. Released before the Knight Warden box came out, so no carapace weapon.... yet. 

Death Guard Tactical Support

The initial reaction to seeing that I did a full unit of flamers is that it was a brave choice, or that I was trying to save points... or that Im just being stupid or silly. And then, I remind people of chem munitions.... Flamers with Shred? Yes please! 

Unlike pretty much every other unit in the army, they have a Rhino transport. Black stripe matches their unit color on their knee pad.

Deathshroud Terminators

As mentioned previously, Id gotten a second set of these models in a trade, and I really wanted to do a proper unit of seven. Pretty expensive on the table top, but they can do a lot of damage when they hit the enemy. And if the enemy charges them? Well... Say hello to seven hand flamers with chem munitions. ;)

These guys are the reason I am starting to prefer Tartaros pattern terminators....

The other Cataphractii Squad

....and here is the second unit of Cataphractii Terminators. Originally I got 3 sets of 5 terminators, and assorted weapons. I still have one of the resin guys in my left-overs box. Someday Ill push both units to 10 models each...

Finally reaching the Infantry! When I was solidifying my color scheme, I decided that basic troops would get the green shoulder pads, and Destroyer Corps would have black... So, where did these guys fit in? Obviously, I decided they were more Destroyers than anything else. Do wish Id paid attention to the rules when building them, though. Cataphractii armor and flamer weapons are not as effective as other types can be...

Death Guard Contemptor Dreadnought

While I love this model, and how it all turned out in the end, I learned that I really do no care for the Kheres pattern assault cannons. Pain in the butt to assemble, and I still can see that I didnt clean it well enough.

Still, the pose of this model turned out very well, and I really want to expand his Talon to the full three models.

Death Guard Fire Raptor

So, yeah... this guy. Pain in the sack to paint, and a few things I am still not happy with. But, it matches my force, and is "good enough for now". 

What I really learned from this model is that I REALLY can not paint a straight line. Getting that green stripe across the middle took far longer than it should have. Looked like I was painting on a water bed, and I was sober while doing it! That'll learn me! ;)

The "glass" canopy was another pain. I decided that I have no desire to show off the pilot, so painted over it. Plan was to gloss coat it, to make it look kinda like glass... well, the gloss coat dried with lumpy streaks. :-/

Death Guard Sicaran

This was surprisingly a fun model to build and paint. Very heavy, though. One thing Im not happy about, is the autocannon barrels. Look at them with naked eyes, and they look good and matched up. Most pics of them, however, look all misaligned. Bah.

Ill be honest. Mortarion intimidated the hell out of me. A Primarch model, and my slap-happy painting style? Yeah.....

Still, I am happy with how he turned out. He isn't pretty, but he matches my army.

Death Guard Legion Champion

One of the first kitbash models I did for my Death Guard, a Centurion/Legion Champion. Id gotten a spare set of Deathshroud models, and I decided I only wanted a unit of seven, so the spares were, well, going spare. So, this was the first shot at building a Consul.

Death Guard Occult Binder

Here is a special bit of heresy... A Death Guard Librarian. Now, how do I justify this special bit of crapping all over the accepted canon? Did you read the quick read "Daemonology"? Basically, Mortarion realizes he needs to learn more to stop daemons, and destroy psykers. A LOT more.

What isn't said, but something I'm assuming, is that he is going to teach some of his "gifted" Legionaries how to shut down daemons and psykers themselves. Mortarion can't be everywhere at once! So, I created the Occult Binder. Not there to use psychic powers themselves, but to shut down those who do!

The model itself is a stock MkIII resin, with a Grey Knight force staff. I just cut the skull out of the center.

Death Guard Chaplain

Here is one of the other models in MkIV armor, a Betrayal at Calth Chaplain. Originally, I was planning on giving him the usual bone white armor, and a black cape, but then I remembered the Chaplain character from the quick read "Distant Echoes of Old Night", and went to reread that. Yep, black armor! His crozius and collar are a light brighter gold than would be expected for the Death Guard, but Im thinking he is still new to the Order, and they were recently gifted from the Word Bearers.

Death Guard Herald

Here is an abnormality in my current collection: an unfinished Death Guard model. Why am I sharing it, then? Especially since I am writing this roughly 2 months before posting? Because I simply can not decide how I want the banner to look. Eventually Ill add stuff so it doesn't look like the stereotypical French joke.

Another abnormality is that he is in MkIV armor. As of writing, I have exactly 12 models in this army wearing that type. Ill likely add mode sooner or later, but for now, its veterans and command staff.
