Space Wolves that is...
I started this hobby with the dying of Rogue Trader and the birth of Warhammer 40,000. Naturally, one of the first books I got was the first Codex Space Wolves. My youngest brother laid claim to that force, and I let him have it, as Chaos drew me in. Of course, he didnt have sole claim to it for too long, eventually I had a few to paint up and I played them some. Good times...
Fast forward a few years to when I first moved to the Baltimore area and was first haunting the Glen Burnie battle bunker. I had atrocious luck, and my tactics sucked as well, but I still won the occasional game... occasionally. Never against the Space Wolves. Those games were painful. Rhino-rush was the order of the day, and a pack of Blood Claws into my half of the table that early was usually a death toll for me. I was lucky to have models on table at the end of turn three. It got to the point where I swore Id never play against the Space Wolves ever again... And I didnt, until Mikie dusted off their rules within the past 6 months.
Now. Ive played a few games against Mikie, giving and taking in equal measure. Ive lifted my ban, mainly since their previous tactics have been neutered by the changing of the rules, but I am facing the new release with dread and anticipation in equal measure. Obviously I will not rule them out as an opposing force if I am running them, but if they are obviously sickly broken, well... I may say no way until they get "fixed" again.
