Lord Carver, BMMD

And, what better model to finish up this stretch of photobox fun, than the Lord Carver himself? I actually painted him a few months before I did that mass paint-fest for the rest of my Farrow, got them all painted in a single weekend.

I still have about as many models still in primer, maybe I should set aside another weekend... Hmm....

These guys... you know, I dont think Ive seen them do anything special in game at all yet.... At least, as of typing this way back in the distant past.

Rorsh and Brine

Brine was a pain to build. Look at that pose... that model is metal. Still, glad to have them, if only for amusement's sake.

Another unit that made me kinda sad while building... I swear that NONE of the arms matched up with each other, or with the bodies, which left me with oddly placed hands and heads. Hard to get motivated to paint up the other four troopers for this unit...

Farrow War Hog

Big beastie, isnt he? I like the concept of this model, and even a lot of the details, but the material they used to make it makes me sad. Not a great plastic...

Farrow Gun Boars

Khorne month seemed to fly by, huh?

Moving on to my Farrow! First up, a pair of Gun Boars. Painted identical, except for chipped paint on some of the armor plates. Figured go red and blue, to denote who their gear was looted from.

Khorne Bloodwarriors

My first five Bloodwarriors. Again, I have more, but they need paint....

Skullcrushers of Khorne

Their title may be "Mighty Skullcrushers" but that always seemed a bit silly to me. The models are fun, but this unit always seems to play the part of the brick wall in my games. Not enough Rend or Damage to really chew through anything...

Khorne Bloodstoker

The first of my Bloodstoker models. The second isn't going to be up any time soon, but I converted it to remove the silly jaw bits on his helmet, and replaced his stump blade for a real hand and sword.

Exalted Deathbringer

I converted this guy from a spare Bloodsecrator, decided leaving the dude on the sprue was a bit of a waste.... Kinda wish Id glued the arrow points on the inside of his shield.

Well, the Death Guard are done and posted, so what now? How about some Khorne Bloodbound?

I decided when I started painting these guys, to stick with the Goretide colors, and so we have Korghos Khul to lead the pack.

Imperial Knight

Well, the last of my scheduled run though my 30 army is this guy. House Hodagi Knight Errant. Released before the Knight Warden box came out, so no carapace weapon.... yet. 

Death Guard Tactical Support

The initial reaction to seeing that I did a full unit of flamers is that it was a brave choice, or that I was trying to save points... or that Im just being stupid or silly. And then, I remind people of chem munitions.... Flamers with Shred? Yes please! 

Unlike pretty much every other unit in the army, they have a Rhino transport. Black stripe matches their unit color on their knee pad.

Second of my Death Guard Tactical Squads. I plan to eventually push both of these units to 20 models each, and add a few more units. Well, now that Burning of Prospero is out, this is an even easier plan... ;)
